Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TVCM) has been used in China to treat animals for thousands of years. Acupuncture is a treatment where a small needle is inserted into specific points on the body to produce a healing response. Inserting needles may sound very painful but in fact most are relaxed and some even fall asleep during the acupuncture treatment. Acupuncture and herbal medicine are often used in conjunction with Western Veterinary Medicine (WVM) to treat a variety of diseases and illnesses such as musculoskeletal problems, gastrointestinal problems, skin problems and much more.
